Community Schools Theater and Arts Presents: Ride The Cyclone!
When Members of the St. Cassian High School chamber choir of Uranium City, Saskatchewan, unexpectedly perish on a faulty roller coaster called The Cyclone. Each tells their story, in the form of a song, to win the reward from a mechanical fortune teller: the chance to return to life.
Come see the Community Schools Theater and Arts production of “Ride the Cyclone” on the weekends of May 23rd and 30th.
AUDITION TIMES: March 21st 3pm - 8pm, March 22nd 10am - 5pm
CALLBACKS: MARCH 26th 5pm - 8pm
ONBOARDING - MARCH 29th 10am- 11:30 am
PERFORMANCES - May 23rd @6pm, May 24th @2pm, May 25th @2pm, May 30th @6pm, May 31st @2pm, and June 1st @2pm.
Practices will be Mon - Fri around 4pm - 8pm tentatively
Audition Requirements:
Song: Prepare a song with a backing track between 45 seconds and 2 minutes long. Edits to your music are acceptable.
Monologues: Monologues will be available online and at the audition location. Learning them beforehand is welcome but not mandatory. You may not be asked to perform all monologues.
Callbacks:
The cast list will be posted on the Facebook Page after callbacks.
Only those invited will be notified about attending callbacks.
Callbacks will take place on the Wednesday after auditions from 5pm to 8pm (unless noted otherwise)
Onboarding Session:
An onboarding session is mandatory for all participants and will take place on the Saturday following auditions from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Parental/Guardian Attendance:
For participants under the age of 18, a parent, guardian, or responsible adult must attend the onboarding session. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility for the program.

The Amazing Karnak: A wise and enigmatic oracle, the mechanical fortune-telling machine that guides the story's narrative.
Age: Mid-30s to early 50s
Vocal Requirements: (No singing required) A deep, resonant voice, capable of delivering prophetic pronouncements with authority.
Ocean O'Connell Rosenberg: The ambitious and relentless leader of the group, often perceived as cruel due to her unwavering drive for success. She has big dreams and an intense need to be the best. Strong comedic skills are required
Age: Late teens to mid-20s
Vocal Requirements: Soprano (B3 - E5) A powerful and versatile voice, capable of delivering both soaring belting and heartfelt ballads.
Mischa Bachinski: A troubled soul with a troubled past, seeking solace in the world of gangster rap and Ukrainian folk music. Mischa presents himself as tough and stoic, but underneath is a passionate dreamer.
Age: Late teens to mid-20s
Vocal Requirements: A Baritone voice (A2 - G4) with a distinctive Ukrainian accent, capable of delivering both soulful ballads and energetic rap performances.
Noel Gruber: A sensitive and introspective young man with a deep appreciation for French New Wave cinema and a tragic outlook on life. Must have a strong sense of irony and dark humor.
Age: Late teens to mid-20s
Vocal Requirements: A tenor voice (G2 - G4) with a French-inspired style, capable of delivering heartfelt and emotive performances.
Ricky Potts: A once-silent character who regains his voice and shares his unique perspective on life. Ricky has a strong imagination. Must transition from quiet and introverted to confident and expressive.
Age: Late teens to mid-20s
Vocal Requirements: A tenor rock voice (A2 - A4) with a distinctive edge, capable of delivering powerful and energetic performances.
Constance Blackwood: A kind and compassionate individual who is often taken advantage of by her peers. Constance longs to be noticed and express her true self. Requires warmth and vulnerability with a comedic touch.
Age: Late teens to mid-20s
Vocal Requirements: A versatile alto voice (G3 - E5) with a rock edge, capable of delivering both comedic and dramatic performances.
Jane Doe: A mysterious and enigmatic figure who has lost her head and now carries a headless doll. Jane has no memory of her past life and conveys emotion through movement and voice.
Age: Late teens to mid-20s
Vocal Requirements: (C4 -E5) A classically trained soprano voice with a wide range and a distinctive, almost robotic quality.
Swing(s): a versatile performer who can step into multiple roles in this production. They must be quick learners and memorize many roles, and always ready to perform.
Note: there is no ensemble for this production.
