FACE Associate for Primary Project
The primary responsibility of the Child Associate is to listen, attend and work with children. The FACE Associate for Primary Project position is funded by the Office of Mental Health Whole Child Project Grant. The Child Associate will meet with students one-on-one to provide expressive play sessions via the Child-Centered Play model.

$15 to $24 per hour depending on experience
Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Life experiences involving healthy interactions with young children and experience working with children with mental health needs encouraged.
Ability to work independently, facilitate group dynamics, exercise good judgment, and show initiative.
Ability to commit to academic excellence.
Have the ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams of staff, parents, and students.
Job Tasks & Responsibilities
Establish trusting relationships with children.
Participate in conferences related to primary project goals.
Participate in training.
Prepare and maintain documentation for grant reporting and supervision purposes.
Manage screening and assessment measures under the supervision of a mental health professional.
Schedule play sessions with children and follow-up parent and staff conferences.
Communicate with teachers and other school professionals.
Set up and maintain a safe and functional playroom.
